Ghost Of Craig Pass

| This scene is set in Wyoming atop Craig Pass near the continental divide. It was the first snowfall of the season, and I remembered the legends of the "ghost cat" told by the trappers and explorers. The cougar has been aware of our presence for some time, and as we turn the corner around a group of trees, our eyes meet and the cougar disappears like a ghost beyond the rocks in the blink of an eye, leaving us to wonder - did we really see that? |
