The polka-dot pattern looks almost comical, yet it blends well in its jungle habitat. Although originally from Africa,
they can be found in America in many rural settings. They make great "watchdogs" as they can make quite a
ruckus when alarmed. In this painting I have concentrated on the exotic plumage and the nearly naked but
colorful head. So often our concept of beauty can not easily relate to nature's forms, but I find beauty where ever
I find life.
