The reflections, shadows, under water "stuff" and the textures of the feathers and folliage drew me to create this painting of a blue-winged teal settling in and getting ready for a nap. This painting has been selected for the 2005, 30th anniversary Birds In Art Exhibition at the LEIGH YAWKEY WOODSON ART MUSEUM in Wausau, Wisconsin. The painting will then travel to the National Wildlife Art Museum in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. In May it will travel to Idabel, Oklahoma to the Museum of the Red River and then late in 2006 on to the Arnot Museum in Elmyra, New York.
